He is a British Economist, known for coining the term BRICs, and former Chairman of Goldman Sachs and formerly a Conservative government minister. He was appointed Commercial Secretary to the Treasury until 2016 and is currently a Senior Advisor at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, having previously been Chairman of the Council.
